Carroll School

The Lincoln Planning Department has been in communication with the Wayland Planning Director regarding Carroll School purchasing property in Wayland. According to the Planning Director in Wayland no application (as of March 30, 2016) has been filed with the Town of Wayland by the Carroll School. The Wayland Planning Director's understanding is that the Carroll school is undergoing its due diligence. If an application is filed in Wayland the Wayland Planning Director will notify the Town of Lincoln's Planning Director.

If an application is filed in Wayland for an educational use the process falls under the Building Commissioner and consists of an administrative site plan review by the Building Commissioner. However, the Wayland Planning Director stated that due to the sensitivity of a project like this, it most likely will be sent to the Wayland Planning Board for a request for comments.

The Building Commissioner also has the right to request a traffic study & other studies if needed.  The Lincoln Planning Department stressed the concern that Lincoln will have as it relates to traffic, use of the property for fields, lighting etc.. and will want to be included in the review process. The Wayland Director understands this and will keep Lincoln included in the process if an application is ultimately filed with the Town of Wayland.

The Town of Lincoln will update the public as it learns more about the project.
